The prediction is more people will love America than they have in the past twelve years.
James River Assembly's 13th annual "I Love America" Independence Day celebration is expected to draw record crowds.
And they started arriving early; games and entertainment kicked off at noon.
The previous record was set in 2005 when 118,000 people came to Springfield Underground.
But with the cancellation of many other public displays 2009 could prove to be packed.
“There’s going to be an airshow. There's concerts almost every hour throughout the day. There's tons on blow up games from the kids; they could literally go from 2 p.m. to 8p.m. without stopping,” explains volunteer Amy Bowman. “Free watermelon, food, and sunshine soon."
There are six Christian bands from all over the country scheduled to perform.
Governor Nixon will be speaking, and a number of religious leaders will address the crowds as well.
