Good morning, bloggers!
What a complex weekend forecast. I know it is so important to people on getting the timing of the rain... so let's get going:
Currently a relatively thin line of slow moving storms are just now pushing across the Missouri state line.

The chance of rain will be greatest to the West this morning... by the time a warm front moves through later this afternoon, the rain chance will push to the North. This evening, the rain should be into N. Missouri and S. Iowa.

Early morning in-house model runs bring the chance of rain into our Northern counties EARLY Saturday morning:

This looks to be good news for the earl-day parades... most places will be dry, cloudy, and warm. Be prepared for a few isolated showers that could pop up.
Saturday afternoon a cold front will begin to move south. I do expect a warm-up before the front moves through.. this could make our atmosphere very unstable.

I do forsee the chance of rain lasting into the evening/overnight hours as the front continues south. I'm a little concerned about fireworks and bbq's for the 4th. I don't expect a ton of rain, but the QPF does show where the best chance for precip. is located, right along that Arkansas/Missouri state line.

The chance of rain will continue into Sunday... by Sunday afternoon the front should be through the area and we could see the rain come to an end.
Please be careful and check back often. The forecast models are changing run to run. Have a safe and wonderful July 4th! (and 3rd and 5th)
