Good morning, bloggers! I'm sure many inquiring eyes are checking to see this weekend's rain chances. Let's get to it.
Currently there is an MCS to the west of us. We will not experience widespread heavy rain because of this, but a few showers could pop up.

The best chance of rain today will remain West and North of Springfield.

Tonight more moisture will build into our area. Showers and thunderstorms will develop later this evening and last into Friday morning. Friday a few isolated showers will be possible... but there will be a chance to get in your afternoon plans and firework shows on Friday.
Friday afternoon:

By Friday night a chance of widespread rain will develop and move into our area Saturday morning. This could be a chance of heavy rain and more widespread. My hope is that it will move through quick so communities can get their parades done. At some point Saturday we will see a break in the activity before a round of storms fire-up. Our atmosphere will be fairly unstable with the chance for strong storms. The storm prediction center does have us under a slight threat.

Heavy rain will be possible Saturday afternoon/evening. If the storms hold off, the rain intensities will be greater.

Timing of rain is a little difficult over the next few days. That makes the forecast frustrating because of everyone's outdoor plans. Please check back again as things become more clear!
