Michael Jackson Dies at Age 50

The King of Pop has died.

ABC News has confirmed the news that Michael Jackson was pronounced dead at the UCLA Medical Center this afternoon. ABC News reports that a family member said he was found collapsed this afternoon and was in cardiac arrest.

Fans are outside the UCLA Medical Center. The pop singer was gearing up for a comeback tour.

TMZ first reported it. This is the information coming out of TMZ.com:

The tabloid says Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. When paramedics arrived, Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells TMZ, Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

Staff members from Jackson's home reportedly called 911. La Toya was seen running in the hospital and sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.
