Baxter County, Arkansas Man Drowns

The Baxter County Sheriff's office says Eugene Perry, 79, of Tracy Ferry drowned today in the North Fork River near Salesville. Doctors pronounced him dead at the Baxter Regional Medical Center after attempts to resuscitate him failed.
Early this afternoon, Sheriff's Deputies responded to a call that a body was floating down the river. Some people in a boat had brought the man to shore and were administering CPR when Emergency Responders arrived.
Deputies say they believe the victim had been alone and had been standing in the water fishing near the Norfork dam when he was swept downstream.
