Fatal Construction Accident at North Springfield Walmart

54-year old Billy McKee died after an accident at the Walmart Supercenter on North Kansas Expressway Tuesday.
According to the police report, McKee was a subcontractor for Krueger Mechanical, doing HVAC work at the Walmart.
He was applying sealant to a ceiling duct and it appears he fell off the ladder and hit his head on the concrete floor. No one witnessed the fall, but another worker came upon McKee laying on the floor bleeding from the head.
McKee was rushed to St. John's Hospital where he was pronounced dead. An EMS crew told police McKee suffered a severe brain bleed.
A spokesperson for Krueger said they had no comment on the incident.
