Sheriff: Woman Hits Other Woman in Stomach with Steel Bar

Stone County deputies arrested a woman over the weekend for assault.
Rebecca Joan Lange, 36, is charged with first degree felony assault.
During the investigation it was determined that both the victim, 22, and Lange were at the Big Bay Boat Ramp in Shell Knob when an argument ensued between several parties.
Witness statements identified Rebecca as hitting the victim in the stomach with a steel bar. The victim was taken to St John's Hospital in Cassville where she was treated and released after observation.
Detectives are still investigating the case.
