Former Teacher Accused of Meeting Teen for Sex

By KSPR News

A former Greenfield teacher accused of having sex with one of her students has been re-arrested, this time for reportedly tampering with a witness, and for allegedly having sex with someone under the age of 14. Alison M. Peck, 23, is being held in the Greene County Jail. Booking records show she lives in Springfield. Peck was already charged with statutory rape in Dade County, and statutory rape and sodomy in Lawrence County. Prosecutors say she repeatedly had sex with the student in early 2009. Sex charges were filed in both Dade and Lawrence counties; Peck reportedly told police she was intimate with the student at Fiddler's Ford in Dade County, and at her apartment in Lawrence County. Earlier this week, Peck's attorney told KSPR News his client was cooperating with police, and was a person, not a "monster." Court documents reveal two of Peck's friends contacted the same student on Friday May 15 to set up a meeting. The four met at the American Inn and had pizza. The student said after the friends left, he and Peck had sex and spent the night together at the motel. Peck's attorney, Bob Torp, was out of town Friday and not immediately available for comment.
