Hartville Woman Dies Hours After Highway Crash

By KSPR News
By Joanna Small

A Hartville woman has died from a car crash hours after the accident.

50-year-old Carneil Johnson was driving on old Niangua Road just north of Hartville Friday night when she veered off the road and hit a dirt embankment.

Johnson drove herself to a friend's house, losing control again before arriving.

The friend then took her home.

That's where Wright County emergency responders found her.

They transported Johnson to St. John's hospital where she died early Saturday morning from injuries she sustained during the crash.
