After last Tuesday's election, Springfield's new city council members and mayor will become official this week.
Jim O'Neal will be sworn in as the new mayor, on Tuesday morning at 11:30, at the historic city hall. Four others will join him as new council members. After the ceremony, the new leaders will get briefed on city business, including the budget.
In the meantime, you can mark your calendars to see the outgoing city leaders. That program is next Monday, April 20th, at the Busch building. The reception will start at 4 p.m.
