Police: Drano-Sniffing Teen Also Making Meth

By KSPR News

A Buford, Ark., teen is charged with attempting to make meth, after police and paramedics find a handwritten meth-making recipe near the boy.

They were at Ronnie James Ball's house in late January, responding to an emergency call. A sheriff's deputy says Ball was "huffing Drano and consuming a large amount of alcohol."

"While at the residence, which belongs to the man’s parents who assisted with the investigation, the deputy observed several substances commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, as well as a handwritten 'recipe' for cooking methamphetamine," the Baxter County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

Ball turned himself in to the sheriff's office on March 17. He's charged with attempting to manufacture meth, and unauthorized use of another person's property to make meth.
