Voters Extend Harrison, Arkansas Schools Property Tax Millage Rate

By KSPR News

Voters have approved the Harrison, Arkansas school district's plan to extend its current property tax millage rate for another 12 years.

Unofficial results show 1,213 people (60%) voted for the plan, 792 people voted against it.

The Harrison School Board asked for the extension to provide more than $4 million to add classrooms at three elementary schools.

The board says the new classrooms will alleviate overcrowding for at least 10 years.
