A Springfield woman and her daughter are among six suspects charged with murder in the throat-slashing death of the woman's husband.
Prosecutors charged Theresa Rash, 49, with first-degree murder Tuesday in what Greene County prosecutors say was a conspiracy to kill her 63-year-old husband, Stephen Rash.
Her daughter, 26-year-old Alexandria McNeeley, and four men, Rusty Amoss, William Reed, Jeffery Bloom, and Troy Christiansen are also charged with first-degree murder.
Authorities say Theresa Rash called police Dec. 6 to report she had found her husband with his throat slit.
Police were asking for help finding Rash's killer when someone came forward with information about the alleged plot.
A probable cause statement said the source told police about being present for a meeting called by Theresa Rash and one of the male suspects who wanted Stephen Rash "out of the picture."
