It may be on your New Year's resolution to eat healthy. We have good news, you can have your pizza and eat it too this year.
Wheat State Pizza stopped by KSPR News This Morning to whip up a pizza that goes well with your new resolutions.
Crust:
1.5 Warm Water (90 degrees F)
1 Tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
1 Teaspoon White Sugar
1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Salt
3 1/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
-Mix water and sugar together until dissolved. Add yeast to mixture and let activate. (about 10 minutes, until it foams a bit)
- Add remaining ingredients to mixture and knead until thoroughly mixed together. Should feel fairly smooth.
- For 2 thin pies, seperate into 2 smaller balls. Keep together for one thicker crust. Allow dough to proof (takes 45 minutes)
- Take proofed dough and flatten into desired size.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees and place crust in for 3-4 minutes. This allows crust to become crispier later.
- Let cool.

- Portabella Mushrooms
- 1 Red Pepper Chopped
- Garlic (fresh or minced)
- Sun Dried Tomatoes

- Preheat oven to 500 degrees
- Add thin layer of pesto to prepared crust.
- Add toppings evenly over crust. Place spinach first.
- Top with cheese.
- Cook at 500 for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
