Woman accused of trying to poison her husband

The Greene County Sheriff's office arrested the 40 year old woman on 1st degree assault charges.

The investigation began after deputies were tipped off from several sources that Ms. Tonia Peterson was attempting to poison her husband with a common over-the-counter topical solution.

Detectives were able to corroborate the information which led to the woman's arrest.

She was charged Thursday with 1st Degree Assault and is being held on $100,000 bond.
