President Bush Reflects Back on 8 Years in the White House

By KSPR News

President Bush’s days in White House are winding down.

During an award ceremony Tuesday morning, the Commander in Chief reflected back on his 8 years and offered some farewell words to the servicemen and women who were there to honor him.

"I have delivered my final college commencement as president. And after much consideration, I pardoned my last Thanksgiving turkey. These have all been wonderful experiences. But nothing compares to the honor of standing before you today, and addressing America's armed forces as your commander in chief," President Bush said.

The Defense Department awarded him the Medal of Distinguished Public Service.

Bush leaves the Oval Office January 20th.
