Man Arrested in Child's Death

The girl died Nov. 22, 2008, in Texas County. Sheriff's investigators were called to the family's mobile home that day and spoke to Toni and Daniel Lamborn.
Daniel Lamborn was the only adult home with the girl and another child during the incident. He told officers a large toy box had fallen onto the chest of the girl.
Later a preliminary autopsy showed the actual cause of death was from a laceration to the right atrium of the heart.
Lamborn later told officers he had lied about the toy box story and other stories he had given. Among those stories were playing with the child by tossing her in the air, stepping on her and finally falling on her with his forearm.
Lamborn is charged with felony abuse of a child, resulting in death.
