By KSPR News

A 61-year-old woman was arrested Sunday after police say she tried to sneak marijuana into a state prison.

The woman, from St. Louis, was busted at 1 p.m. Sunday at the South Central Correctional Center.

"Corrections officers reported discovering the controlled substance in the suspect’s shoe, which she had removed to pass through a metal detector," Licking police said in a news release. "The substance is believed to be marijuana."

The woman's being held at the Texas County Jail pending formal charges.
