Get Your DTV Questions Answered

By KSPR News

The switch to digital television is quickly approaching. In two months, all TV stations will turn off their analog signal, leaving those not ready in the dark.

For those viewers out there still not ready for digital TV or still unsure of what they need to do, there is a call-in show Wednesday, December 17 on Ozarks Public Television to get their questions answered.

Just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday on all the local television stations, viewers will see a message reminding them about the digital television conversion that's just two months away.

In some parts of the country, stations have actually shut off their analog signal for a few minutes, or even a few hours, to get the message to people who still haven't done anything.

The latest national survey shows 7% of viewers either don't know about the change or haven't acted.

To get your DTV questions answered, Ozarks Public Television along with other local broadcasters, including KSPR, is holding a DTV call-in show from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday on OPT.

The number to call is (417)836-3550.

A panel with experts from each station will answer your questions.

You can continue to call for an hour after the show, until 9 p.m., to get your questions answered.
