Exotic Pet Shop Targeted by Thieves Three Times

By Brad Belote

A pet shop owner has most of his stolen exotic animals back, after his shop
became the target of thieves not once, not twice, but three times.

The crooks stole two pocket parrots, three sugar gliders, a chinchilla, and an
aquarium from the Kansas shop.

"Come on guys I know you're tired."

The shop owner says three sugar gliders were also snatched from his place at the Great Mall of the Great Plains.

"The animals are a bit stressed out but seem to be good, ate last night, just
happy to have them back."

His is mostly a saltwater business called Aquariums Wholesale and Pet Supply.

Patrick tells us he changed the lock on the back door.

"I'm glad the Great Mall and the city of Olathe helped me extremely get all my
stuff back."

He estimates thieves got away with $8,500 of property.
