Job cuts at the Springfield News-Leader

A longtime News-Leader columnist will soon write her last column.

Sarah Overstreet is one of 19 people laid off by the newspaper.

It's the latest round of cost-cutting measures at the Gannett-owned daily.

The publisher blames declining advertising revenues adn the economic downturn for the cuts.

Overstreet worked for KSPR in the late 1980s as a consumer reporter.
