By KSPR News

Six Ozarks residents have been indicted by a grand jury for mortgage fraud schemes in Christian and Greene counties. Four of those charged are former mortgage brokers.

Those indicted are Charles M. Davis, 34, of Rogersville, Cheryl Joan Kassebaum, 42, and her husband Scott Allen Kassebaum, 42, both of Ozark, Randall Lee Hall, 59, of Springfield, Shanda Lynn Moore, 44, of Springfield, and Steven Ray Spencer, 47, Carl Junction.

The 55-count indictment alleges the six conspired to defraud home mortgage lender outside Missouri, by filing loan applications containing false income and employment information.

The schemes involved nearly 30 houses, many of which have been foreclosed on.
