Thieves Steal 50,000 Pound Excavator

Police in Osage Beach are looking for a piece of equipment stolen from a construction site. It weighs 50,000 pounds!
The police department reported today (Fri.) that on Monday a large excavator was reported missing from an excavation site near Carl's Market at the intersection of Highways 54 and 42.
Police say the thieves would have used a semi and flatbed to move the machine.

On 10/6/08 the Osage Beach Police Department received a report reference a stolen yellow 1996 Kamatsu PC-220 LL-6. Operates on tracks not wheels and has large grapples on the arm.

The equipment was stolen from the area of the Carl’s Market, Hwy 54 and Hwy 42, excavation site. The 50 thousand pound piece of equipment would have required a semi style truck with flat bed trailer to be able to move the equipment from the job site.
