Officials Hold Their Noses; Search for Cause of Carthage Stench

By KSPR News
By Joanna Small

State officials recognize Carthage stinks, and they're to catch the culprit.
They plan to survey residents in yet another attempt to pinpoint the source and severity of the city's lingering odor problem.
A Missouri Department of Natural Resources survey will accompany city water and electric bills.
It asks where, when, and how often residents have been bothered by the stench, what does it smell like, and has it had an impact on quality of life in Carthage.
