Springfield Police Officer arrested in Pulaski County

A 54 year old Springfield Police Officer was arrested on September 23rd in Pulaski County. The Highway Patrol arrested him on charges of Leaving the scene of the accident, careless and imprudent driving, driving while intoxicated and felony possession of a firearm while intoxicated.

Springfield police chief Lynn Rowe tells KSPR the veteran officer won't be placed on leave unless he is charged.
