In a KSPR Daily Download segment Joe and Christine Daues discussed whether Washington can change. Earlier this month John McCain and Sarah Palin visited Lee's Summit, Missouri. That same day Joe Biden made stops in Columbia and St. Louis. Both had a similar message that day... change.

So we wanted to know if you think Washington can really be changed. We had a lot of mixed responses from viewers. Many said with the Republican party it could change, while others said the Democratic party could change Washington. What do you think? Leave your thoughts below. Here are your Talk Backs...

“I have my voter registration card taped to my bathroom mirror. And each time I see the image above it, I feel regret. Forty years of adult life and I haven't lived up to my responsibility as a U.S. citizen. All that time not speaking up in the right forums. “Yes it can change. It has changed several times in our history. And yes it needs to change. What is being said is more a change of the last eight years of neglect. The ignoring of the issues that affect Americans at home. The constitution won't change as a whole. We know Sen Obama has xlnt judgement from his courageous votes before Bush (and McCain's) decision to go to war. We also know that Democrats believe in more responsible and compassionate government- and you can have both. I don't want 4 more years of poor decision making for the middle class. I don't know anyone who is better off in Spgfd than they were when Pres Clinton was in office. From our pocketbooks to a war that only prospers Haliburton and Blackwater and was spawned by provem outright lies to Congress and the American people, to responsible family planning (even if we don't all agree on a woman's right to choose, most Americans want responsible family planning with birth control available from our insurance companies and pharmacies).
