Rowan Ford Murder Trials Out of Barry County

By KSPR News

A judge has agreed to move the trials of both men charged with raping and killing a 9-year-old southwest Missouri girl.

Christopher Collings will be tried in Phelps County in the November
2007 death of Rowan Ford of Stella.

The girl's stepfather, David Spears, is being tried in Pulaski County.

Both men are charged with First Degree Murder, Rape and Statutory Rape.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Ford disappeared from her home in the small Newton County town while her mother was working a night shift. An intensive weeklong search ended when her body was found in a cave about 10 miles way
in neighboring McDonald County.

I dont think it matters where they are tried. If people that can do that to a child dont deserve the death penalty who does? I say hang them at dawn in the street.
