I'm stunned - McCain's choice for VP is no less than bizarre - Could she ever run for President on her own - NO! Then she has no business in an office where she's a heartbeat away. I can never vote for him now.

At first I was upset over Mike Huckabee not being McCain's choice. After learning about Palin and hearing her speak, I as a woman am so elated that I feel this country has received one more chance to redeem itself. Not because she's a woman; but because of her values.

We hear about Hillary voters not going for Obama but crossing over to a McCain/Palin ticket probably won't last as soon as Palin's and McCain's Conservative views on everything sink in. If spite carries the day then they would have left the party for some other reason anyway, my point being Hillary is a Democrat.

This pick must be a bit galling to women like Hutchison. Hutchison and other far more qualified Conservative women were just passed over so McCain could get a young, pretty face on the ballot. Why would he pick Palin over someone with the experience of Hutchison if it wasn't youth and looks?

McCain's choice as VP was brilliant!! I am pleased with his bold choice. He went out of the Beltway and chose a virtually unknown with a lot of knowhow as well as having a lot of charisma to reach some of the disgruntled voters that wanted Hilary as VP for the Dems. Just what the Repubs. need to spring board into their Convention. I am proud to be republican today. Go McCain/Palin
