Teen's Benefit Brings in Money for Medical Equipment

By Michelle Sherwood

It was a big night for one Ozarks teen. Hayden Stanley celebrated his 16th birthday this weekend, but his party also helped raise money for much needed medical equipment. A year ago, his neighbor hit him with his car, sending him into a coma. Hayden's parents say the fundraiser will help buy machines that will help the teen breathe and say they're so grateful for the community's support.

“This is great,” says Laurie Stanley, Hayden’s mother. “It's overwhelming and amazing. It's a blessing, absolutely. It really is."

The medical equipment Hayden needs costs roughly $20-thousand dollars. His parents say it could help keep him out of the hospital.
