FBI Seeks "The Plaid Shirt Robber"

By KSPR News

Police are looking for an Ozarks man known as the “plaid shirt robber.”

The FBI says 37-year-old Joseph Young is behind at least 20 bank robberies across the country, and Wednesday night, authorities almost caught him near his Rogersville home.

The FBI says Young likes to gamble, maybe that's one reason he became a professional bank robber. For around a year, Young has allegedly targeted banks across the country, but now, many law enforcement agencies are targeting him.

A wooded area near Rogersville was the last place anyone saw Joseph Young, as he was running away from the FBI, highway patrol, sheriff's deputies and police officers.

“He abandoned his vehicle," says the FBI’s Dean Bryant. Authorities tried to nab Young at his home near Rogersville late Wednesday night. However, they ended up on a chase that ended in some woods, where even blood hounds couldn't sniff Young out.

"He has made some threats,” says Bryant. “Based on that, we consider him armed and dangerous."

Not only that, the robber has made quite a name for himself—known now as the "plaid shirt robber" for wearing those dated shirts and a hat. In fact, he's hit at least 20 banks in places like South Dakota, Ohio, Kentucky and Minnesota. The latest happened in West Virginia.

"He has beat the clock,” says Sgt. Steve Cooper with the Charleston, West Virginia Police Department. “At times, he’s beat it by mere minutes."

"It doesn't seem like it happens here, but it obviously does," says Bryant.

For now, authorities are working with Young's family and continue to search for the accused robber. They say everyone hopes police can capture Young safely, but the outcome for him is bad either way.

"I would consider him to be a desperate criminal at this point,” says Cooper. “If he's captured, he will hopefully never see the light of day again. He'll spend the rest of his life in prison based on the sheer number of bank robberies he's committed."

The fbi is a homicidal band of thugs, torturers, liars, cowards, assassins and traitors; prison sentences would not heal the evil that each and every fbi agent is required to perform and or support in his career. As people discover the immoral, cowardly and macabre character of the agents, operatives, handlers and associates of the fbi/cia (as manifest globally in the killing/torture techniques used by these sociopathic assassins to insure compliance to new world order dictates) we may not r
