Man Charged in Douglas County Slaying

James Earl Hitchcock, Ava, is being held on $250,000 bond. The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says he killed Wendell Dean Hillhouse, 42, Branson.

Deputies say the crime happened Saturday afternoon on COunty Road 335 in Douglas County.

Hitchcock is being moved to Douglas County from an undisclosed location, police said. They're not releasing further details.

HE'S got a bond, people that commit crimes like that shouldnt even be able to have a bond. The way people are now days, keep their rear ends locked up, and dont let the have the opportunity to go out and kill some other innocent victom. It's not fair to those that get hurt just because the system doesnt want to keep them locked up and have to deal with them.

Were has the world gone ive known of wendell for about a year now and from what i gathered he didnt have a mean bone in his body he was tricked he got killed trying to help someone out sad isnt it
