A Marshfield man will spend 15 years in prison for sexually abusing seven underage girls.
Scott A. Kleier pleaded guilty in May to first-degree child molestation, second-degree statutory sodomy, tampering with a witness and five counts of sexual misconduct involving a child under 14.
Prosecutors dropped additional charges in exchange for the guilty pleas.
Kleier’s victims had told authorities stories of a “hypnotize game” he would play with them.
Webster County Prosecutor Danette Padgett Thursday asked Circuit Court Judge Donald Cheever to sentence Kleier to 20 years in prison. Defense attorneys asked for probation.
Judge Cheever sentenced Kleier to 15 years for the child molestation charge, and between 3 and 5 years for each of the lesser charges. The sentences are to run concurrently.

Dannette Padgett the prosecuting attorney in this case is not interested in what is right and wrong. she is only worried about not loosing face in that courtroom. Heaven forbid. Little does she know that people are watching her do her job or in many cases, not do it. The next time she runs for office, everyone should remember how lousy she does it. WHAT A JOKE!

This man molested 7 little girls and got 15 years?! The experience will be with each of these girls for the rest of their lives. This guy needs to serve all these sentences back to back, not concurrently. He'll be out on probation in just a few years, looking for more victims.
