Baby-sitter charged with raping child

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - A Springfield woman is jailed on charges of raping and sodomizing a boy she was baby-sitting.

Authorities say the boy -- now 11 -- told Child Advocacy investigators this week that 25-year-old ex-babysitter Laura Kirkland made him touch
her, performed oral sex on him and had intercourse with her at her
house from the time was eight until he was 10 years old.

I would just like to know why so many people would rather accuse an 11 year old boy of being a liar and protect this woman. Your tone would be a lot different if your child was the one saying this had happened to them. I agree that the courts should be the ones deciding her fate, but come on we should also wait to judge the boy before calling him a liar.

Children lie all the time! No one knows for sure what happened, except for them and God! The media has ruined any hope of a fair trial for her! What ever happened to being innocent until proven guilty. Even if she is innocent her teaching carear is over!

Kids now days know more than they should at young ages, my brothers gf's daughter at time was 7, didnt know what molestation was, just heard it from a neighbor girl that had been molested, and she told her that she had been also by my brother. after being questioned by authories, she told them she didnt know what it meant and admitted she lied to the girl. my brother pays for it to this day because of it, it's on his profile for something he didnt do. all because she was trying to fit in.

How do you know the kids not a liar? Have you ever thought of that? Maybe he wanted some attention. Maybe he had a crush on her and wished that had happened? We cant judge cause we dont know the full story dude, so dont assume.

I hope the judge sentences her to the max jail time, this animal has destroyed this little boys childhood and he will carry this damage for the rest of his life! There is no difference, man or woman, both do the same harm! these sick people need to be off the streets so all children can be safe!!!
