Man Found Stabbed to Death in Springfield

By KSPR News

Springfield police are investigating a death in center city Tuesday afternoon.

They said someone went to check on 31-year-old Jason Isenbletter at his home on the 1600 Block of East McDaniel.

The person discovered him lying dead on the floor.

Police started looking for evidence and talking to witnesses.

They said it appears someone killed him, and they don't have any suspects in mind just yet.

"There's numerous stab wounds that we would assume that's how the individual died. At this point in time it appears that this person's been there for some time, and so we're going to start working backwards now to try to figure out when it was that this person died, and who was with him when he passed away," Grant Story with the Springfield Police Department said.

Isenbletter's car is also missing.

It's described as a silver 2000 Nissan Xterra.

The car has a sticker in the back window that says "infantry."

The plates are Missouri 3DF-16W.
