Missouri Water Patrol steps up BWI saturation

By KSPR News

The Missouri Water Patrol is keeping busy making sure our rivers and lakes are free of impaired boaters.

Over the past two weekends the patrol has been conducting saturations on the Niangua, Gasconade and Osage Fork rivers. Officers issued citations for 143 violations.

Saturation patrol was also in force on the Lake of the Ozarks this past weekend at the .5 mile marker of the Glaize arm. Eight arrests were made for boating while intoxicated.

Arrests were made on both the lake and on the rivers for boating while intoxicated. The river patrol also issued citations for underage drinking, illegal drug use, littering and lewd behavior.
