Three Dead in Barry County in Suspected Murder-Suicide

A Missouri State Trooper stumbled upon a gruesome scene at about 10 last night in Washburn, a small community 56 miles southwest of Springfield near the Arkansas border. Three bodies were lying in the grass next to the local high school baseball field in what the sheriff's department is investigating as a double murder-suicide.

The Barry County Sheriff's Department says a husband, wife, and her boyfriend met at the baseball field to speak to one another. The married couple of was seperated.

The sheriff says it appears the "distraught" husband shot his estranged wife and her boyfriend, then himself.

The victims were identified as Carl D. Miller, 42, Washburn - Rhonda R. Miller, 39, Washburn - Donald F. Horton, 45, Bentonvill, Ark.
