Have you ever thought about the things that symbolize a wedding? You've got the rings, you've got the church, but for the brides-to-be, let's face it, it's all about that dress!
And since we're right in the thick of wedding season, there's a new bootcamp in the Ozarks to help those women get into that size two gown (yeah right).
The Doling Family Center started the bootcamp this summer to rev up attendance and to get people in shape. The first bootcamp just ended, and the women involved—including KSPR’s Michelle Sherwood -- say it made a big change in their appearance and their confidence.
"Once you get past the ‘Oh my God, I can't do that’, then you realize, ‘Oh my God, I can do this and you know, it's not that hard!’" says Gina Stidham, Buff Brides instructor.
The next bootcamp starts Tuesday at 6 a.m. at the Doling Family Center. Non members pay just $ 35 for eight weeks of training. It costs less if you're a member. And we should add, you don't really have to be a bride to be in the class, but it's good if you are, because you get a chance to win a lot of cool prizes to help throw your wedding.
Now, if you'd like to see our progress or just get involved with being more healthy, check out KSPR’s newest blog—
www.ozarksbuffbrides.com. We've also set up an
online community on there so people can chat and encourage each other. You don't have to be a bride! We even have weekly features on people who've lost weight and healthy recipes from some of the most popular local restaurants.
