Bass Pro is a favorite place to shop for a lot of people, including actor Kevin Costner.
That's partly why the Hollywood star is in Springfield this weekend. He's here to promote his new comedy "Swing Vote" and to raise money for two local charities In the movie, Costner plays a "good old boy" who loves Bass Pro and whose vote becomes the one that will pick the next U.S. president.
“It's a really good movie,” says Costner. “It's an American comedy. I think it's a movie that will last.”
The movie has other big stars, like Dennis Hopper, Kelsey Grammer, Nathan Lane and Stanley Tucci.
As for Sunday’s event, more than a couple of hundred people showed up for the private screening. The money raised goes to the Upper White River Basin Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
