Actor Kevin Costner is in Springfield this weekend to help raise money for two local organizations--the Upper White River Basin Foundation and the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks.
Costner's here to also promote his new movie "Swing Vote", in which he plays a laid-back, beer-swigging, good old boy, whose one vote will determine the election of the next president of the United States.
The actor is good friends with Bass Pro founder Johnny Morris and his wife, Jeanie. In his new movie, "Swing Vote", Costner's character Bud wears a Bass Pro hat in many scenes.
Costner will be at Bass Pro Sunday night for a meet and greet with a couple hundred other people, and then the group will head over to Campbell 16 to watch "Swing Vote." Costner's band "Modern West" will also play for the Bass Pro company picnic Monday night.
Here's just a snipit of the interview KSPR had with Costner Sunday afternoon. Watch KSPR News at 10 to hear more from the actor.
