Hulshof Picks Up Local Support

By KSPR News

One of the republicans running for governor in Missouri added a big name to his support system Monday.

This is no Johnny-come-lately; Congressman Roy Blunt said he suggested Hulshof run for governor 10 years ago.

The duo made appearances in Springfield, Joplin, and Mount Vernon Monday.

"I think what the Missouri voter is going to look for between now and August, and more importantly between August and November is not about what happened on a series of votes ten years ago, or ten months ago, but what's going to happen in our state the next four years, and it makes a big difference," Rep. Roy Blunt said.

Hulshof’s republican opponent State Treasurer Sarah Steelman has said she wants the endorsement from the "people," not political figures.
