Springfield's Bachelor Talks About Life After Reality TV

By Brad Belote

Aaron Buerge says his life today is normal.

Buerge is an executive at First National Bank in Springfield. He also owns "The Bachelor."

In the fall of 2002, ABC producers chronicled Buerge's search for love, making his journey the focal point of the series' second season.

Buerge narrowed his suitors to two: Helene Eksterowicz, a school psychologist from New Jersey; and Brooke Smith, an attractive blonde college student.

Buerge chose Eksterowicz, but the two broke up a few months after the big reveal in November 2002.
