Who has the Cheapest Drug Prescriptions?

Shopping around for the best prescription drug prices can save you hundreds of dollars a year.

Researchers at Consumer Reports contacted more than 150 pharmacies nationwide to get the cost of four prescriptions.

A three-month supply of Detrol varied from $365 to $500.

The price range for Plavix was about the same, Levoxyl varied by $55, and a generic Fosamax by more than $180.

Costco and AARP.com generally had the cheapest pills, while Walgreen’s and Rite-Aid had the most expensive.
