TV Guide: "Men in Trees" Cancelled

By Brad Belote

TVGuide.com reports ABC has cancelled the show, "Men in Trees," a romantic television comedy.

The show will return with new episodes Wednesday 28th. Producers, unsure of whether the show would be picked up, shot an alternate ending to the season finale.

The show bounced around the ABC schedule during its two season run.

"Men in Trees" premiered on Friday nights in September 2006, but was moved to Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. Central where it faced strong competition against "E.R." and "Without a Trace."

The show returned last fall to Friday nights before the writers' strike sent the show into hiatus.
