Cops: Kids Placed in Clothes Dryer

By KSPR News

The Camden county sheriff says two people are under arrest charged with child abuse.

Deputies were called to a home on Anderson Hollow Road in rural Linn Creek, Missouri last Friday.

The investigation found that 2 children, ages 8 and 10, had allegedly been placed in a clothes dryer, as well as being struck by the boyfriend of the mother. Investigators found that the dryer had apparently been turned on for a short period of time with the children inside. It is unclear at this time if one or both children were in the dryer at the same time.

Arrested at the scene was Stephen W. Ray, Jr. age 26, of rural Linn Creek, MO. He is charged with 2 counts of felony Child Abuse, as well as 2 probation violation warrants. No bond is allowed by the Camden County Associate Circuit Court. Further investigation has resulted in the arrest of the mother of the children, Nicole M. Eberhart, age 29, also of rural Linn Creek, MO. She was arrested today on a warrant charging her with 2 counts of felony Child Abuse.

Bond has been set in the amount of $100,000.00 by the Associate Circuit Court of Camden County. A court date of April 24th has been set for Eberhart and a court date of April 17th has been set for Ray
