Former Educator gets Probation for Child Porn

By Brad Belote

Former Springfield educator Gary Rademacher will spend five years on probation for possessing child pornography.

Rademacher pleaded guilty to 10 counts of possessing child pornography in a Greene County court Wednesday.

Police found more than 1,300 images of child pornography on Rademacher's computer. Police were notified by a computer repair company when Rademacher took it to them to fix.

Rademacher had retired from the Springfield school district prior to his arrest.

Prosecutors said they think the punishment was appropriate because they had determined none of the children depicted in the images were from the area.
