Monett Man Convicted of Meth Conspiracy

Ramon Hernandez-Pacheco, 29, was found guilty of conspiracy to peddle the illegal drug in Barry County.

Hernandez-Pacheco is a citizen of Mexico; he had lawful permanent residence status in the U.S.

Federal prosecutors said he conspired to distribute 500 grams or more of meth during the summer of 2006.

Co-defendant Jose Serrano-Rodriguez, 40, of Purdy, a citizen of Mexico with lawful permanent residence status, has already pleaded guilty to his role in the methamphetamine conspiracy. He awaits sentencing.

Hernandez-Pacheco will forfeit to the government $24,094 seized from his residence on July 27, 2006.
