Student Suspended for Selling Sandwiches

By KSPR News

A 17 year old high school student wanted to spread his passion for cooking by selling gourmet sandwiches on his high school campus.

But his business turned into a bust when the principal caught wind of his aromas.

Because of health concerns and permit issues he had to stop selling sandwiches.

As punishment the principal suspended the student chef for two days.

Its a shame the prinicpal had so little imagination as to suspend him. He should have been made to write a 1000 word summary of the 1999 Missouri Food Code. This would help him to follow proper health practices if he decides to make this an occupation. Jodie, it would still be against the rules to call it a donation, although many organizations use this "white lie" to raise money.

All those run on sentences, then the misspellings "drooping", "tem" & finally not even being able to write a complete sentence "They need to have a better way to punish student instead to kick tem out. " It's never to late to go back to school!

A student was suspended for taking vitamins, a couple of others for paying for their lunch with pennies and this kid for making sandwiches. I is a shame the people making these decisions are responsible for teaching our kids.

Why they need to suspend the kids from school for everything, if this kid likes to cook punish him cooking for the cafeteria at school, I don't understand the school system, The kids are not drooping the school the school system is kicking them out. They need to have a better way to punish student instead to kick tem out.
