St. Louis Ranked 2nd Most Dangerous City

By KSPR News

ST.LOUIS (AP) - A study of FBI crime statistics says St. Louis is the nation's second most dangerous city, behind Detroit.

The same study last year put St. Louis at No. 1.

And out of the 378 cities studied, Kansas City, Missouri is ranked the 18th most-dangerous city in the nation, and Kansas City, Kansas is 25th. The American Society of Criminology says the study is "an irresponsible misuse" of crime data.

The study was done by CQ Press, a unit of Congressional Quarterly. It is based on the FBI's September 24th crime statistics report.
