Classmates Remember Rowan Ford

By KSPR News

It wasn't school as usual for Rowan Ford’s 4th grade classmates today.

They took time out of the day to remember Rowan and make sure she won't be forgotten any time soon.

One of the families donated a flowering dogwood tree, which the students planted this morning.

Tied to the tree are purple ribbons.

Purple was her favorite color.

About 50 of her classmates released balloons of the same color into the air.

The school is doing everything it can to restore normalcy and help the students cope... everything from counseling to rearranging the desks in Rowan's classroom.
