St. Jude Kicks Off Dream Home Campaign

By Brad Belote

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has helped give families hope for generations.

For the last year three years, the Memphis, Tenn.-based hospital has made the dreams of an Ozarks family come true.

In 2008, St. Jude will team with KTTS Radio, Coldwell Banker and the HBA Charitable Foundation for a dream home giveaway. Builders, contracters and suppliers will help construct a dream home that will be given away in the summer of 2008. A $100 raffle ticket enters you in the drawing. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit St. Jude.

But first there has to be a house. Thursday builders and contractors gathered to kick off the 2008 Dream Home project.

This year's builder is John Marion of John Marion Construction. He'll supervise the building of the home in the Vintage Hills Subdivision west of Springfield, the neighborhood as the 2007 Dream Home.
